4th of July Weekend

Andrew and I were really excited for this Holiday weekend because for the first time in a while, we didn't have to work on the holiday.  I had a three day weekend and Andrew had a four day weekend so we wanted to do something fun.  Friday night was grantsville's annual Dusk to Dawn tennis tournament.  Andrew  plays in it, every year but I never had before.  At the last minute Andrew was able to convince me to play I had been contemplating it all day.  I love playing tennis and we had been playing alot, but I still am not very good, so I as a little nervous.  I'm really glad that I decided to play, even if I did get embarrassed a few times.  It's funny because some people are there just to have fun, like myself, but then there were people who took it way too serious.  The tennis tournament ended up ending pretty earlier, probably around 11, which always makes Andrew a little upset because he says it feels rushed.  After tennis we headed to his parents house and at around 11:45 I got the bright idea to make up a dance to do for his dad's birthday which was in 15 minutes.  So we hurried outside with his sister and her friend Mandy to get started.   This is what we came up with.

Ok...  After many failed attempts to upload this video I'm finally giving up and am just going to post this without the video , so unfortunately you wont be able to see our amazing dance moves.
Later that night Bailey, Andrew and I slept out on the tramp.

On Saturday, we went camping up South Willow canyon.  We hadn't been camping in Utah since we'd been married so we thought it was about it.

On Monday, July 4th we started off by watching the Grantsville parade at Andrew's Aunt Jens, afterwards we went to the park for all the festivities, went to his parents house for a BBQ and spent alot of time riding around on the scooer. Later that night we went back to the park to watch the fireworks, which were pretty legit, possibly the best firework show Grantsville has ever put on.

It was so nice to spend the whole weekend together and to be able to do whatever we wanted to do.

Summer Basketball Camps

A couple weeks ago Coach Ashby and I took some of the basketball girls down to St George for a basketball camp at Dixie College.  We left for St George monday morning at 6 AM and got back to Tooele on Friday around 2 PM.  We only took 12 girls down and those 12 girls had to make up two teams (JV and Varsity) so each team only had one sub.  Needless to say the girls were fatigued after the first couple of days, especially after tuesday's four game schedule.  When the girls weren't playing basketball we were either relaxing at the hotel, laying by the pool and getting frozen yogurt at Menchies MMM so good.  Our last night in St George we hiked to Dixie Rock to take "team pictures" per the seniors request.  It was a nice week of basketball and I think all the girls got something out of it, but by the end of the week everyone was ready to get home, even if we would only get a 3 day break before our next basketball camp at SLCC.

Scooter Rides

Now that summer is FINALLY here Andrew and I have spent lots of time riding around on the scooter.  It doesn't quite compare to the motorcycle, but until we buy one of our own it will suffice.  We usually just ride around stansbury and Grantsville and just recently we have started to enjoy driving around looking at houses. Here are a couple of pictures of us getting ready to go cruisin'.

2 Years Already?!

It seems like everytime I blog I'm trying to catch up on the past few weeks and the next few posts wont be any different.  Since the last time I blogged, Andrew and I celebrated out 2 year anniversary.  This year was a little less organized than last.  We decided that since we are going on a cruise in Decemeber we would just stick around in Utah and keep things small.  The initial plan was to go to the rock on the Salt Lake.  Andrew and I have lived here most of our lives and neither of us have ever been, but due to the rainy weather we were unable to go.  Instead, we went to Tepenyaki, Andrew's favorite restaraunt, stopped for ice cream at Nielsons Frozen Custard and then headed home to spend the rest of the night relaxing.

I can't believe we've been married for 2 years already!  It's been such an amazing adveneture.
