WORK

WELL IM FINALLY GETTING AROUND TO THE BLOG, IT'S BEEN A WHILE BUT THINGS HAVE BEEN SUPER BUSY IT SEEMS. I STARTED MY NEW JOB LAST MONDAY AND SO FAR I LIKE IT. I WORK FROM 9:30 TO 7:30 BUT THE DAY GOES BY FAST BECAUSE IT'S SO BUSY. YESTERDAY WAS THE FIRST DAY I REALLY FELT OVERWHELMED. THERE WERE A MILLION THINGS GOING ON AND AS SOON AS I WOULD START ON A NEW PROJECT SOMEONE ELSE WOULD CALL AND IT FINALLY GOT TO ME BUT I GOT EVERYTHING DONE AND TODAY WAS MUCH BETTER. DONT GET ME WRONG I LOVE THAT I HAVE TO MULTITASK BECAUSE I GET BORED VERY EASILY AND IT KEEPS ME FROM GETTING BORED. SINCE I'VE STARTED WORKING I'VE BEEN SUPER TIRED. I THINK MY MONTH OFF OF WORK IS TO BLAME FOR THAT. LUCKILY FOR ME I HAVE A WONDERFUL STAY AT HOME HUSBAND WHO HELPS ME RELAX WHEN I COME HOME. HAHA HE WOULDN'T BE TOO HAPPY IF HE READ THE STAY AT HOME HUSBAND PART. BUT REALLY IT'S SO NICE TO COME HOME TO A CLEAN HOUSE. HE ALSO HAS DINNER READY WHEN I GET HOME, NOT JUST ANY DINNER EITHER. IT'S USUALLY SOME GOURMET THING HE GOT OFF THE FOOD NETWORK CHANNEL THAT HE PERFECTED :). FOR EXAMPLE, LAST NIGHT HE MADE MEAT LOAF WRAPPED IN BACON WITH A BROWN SUGAR GLAZE. IT WAS YUMMY!

THINGS IN NEBRASKA ARE GOING WELL. I HAVEN'T HAD MUCH TIME TO BE HOMESICK BUT I DID HAVE A DAY LAST WEEK THAT GOT ME DOWN. I GOT OFF WORK EARLY ON FRIDAY AND I STARTED MISSING EVERYONE BACK HOME. I JUST FELT LIKE CALLING OUR FAMILIES. FORTUNATELY THAT AFTERNOON WE WENT TO MY AUNTS CABIN SO IT TOOK MY MIND OFF OF IT. I TRY NOT TO CALL HOME TOO OFTEN BECAUSE I THINK THAT ANDREW AND I NEED TO DEPEND ON EACHOTHER INSTEAD OF DEPENDING ON OUR PARENTS SO MUCH. ANDREW IS STILL LOOKING FOR A JOB. HE DID GET AN OFFER TODAY BUT HE IS TRYING REALLY HARD TO GET OTHER OPTIONS BECAUSE IF HE TAKES THIS JOB HE WILL HAVE TO WORK NIGHTS AND WE DONT THINK THAT WOULD BE THE BEST THING FOR US BECAUSE WE WOULD NEVER SEE EACHOTHER. AND IM A BIG CHICKEN WHEN IT COMES TO BEING ALONG IN THIS HOUSE AT NIGHT. IT'S JUST SCARY BECAUSE THERE IS A CORNFIELD BEHIND OUR HOUSE AND WHEN IT'S DARK THE STOCKES KIND OF LOOK LIKE PEOPLE.... OH AND WE LIVE BY TRAIN TRACKS, SCARY!

ANYWAY, I FORGOT TO MENTION EARLIER, I CHOPPED MY HAIR OFF AND I LOVE IT. I'M GOING TO GO EVEN SHORTER THIS FRIDAY, I WAS JUST TOO NERVOUS TO DO IT ALL AT ONCE. WELL ANDREW AND I ARE HEADING OUT TO POSSIBLY BUY A NEW PLASMA TV. WE MISS AND LOVE YOU ALL BACK HOME!~

House Wife? - andy

Today is Monday and i just finished mowing the lawn (which I do every 4 to 5 days because the lawn grows so fast). I am now sitting on the couch thinking about the tasks I have left to do the rest of the day. For example: clean the bedroom, the kitchen, the family room and do the laundry are some of the things i have to do. Not too exciting i know. I felt like taking a break to fill you all in on the weekend we had up in Iowa.

I was going to post some pictures but I think that Meg took the camera with her to work...she at least left it in her purse, which she has.

Anyway we went up to this little town called onowa, Iowa where Megan's aunt and uncle own a little piece of property up in the hills. The hills were pretty nice to be in. They are the closest things to mountains in miles. While we were up there the weather was pretty nice and not too hot. It was cloudy most of the time and only rained while we were all asleep. During the day time we would go out on the four wheeler or the dune buggy. Dune buggies are freaking cool! There are over 1000 trails to ride around this area...wow! The only problem with the whole place is that unless you are a member of this little community you are not able to actually drive the ATVs...so in order to go out you had to be driven by one of the 3 members we were staying with. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The food was great as it always is when you are out camping.

When we got back from camping we went to our ward and met with the bishop. He is a great man and seems to be very hard working and in tune with the spirit. He talked with us about getting callings asap and i think it made Meg nervous ha ha. Though she doesn't think this, I know she'd do great in whatever position she was called to. She has such a beautiful and strong testimony. I love to hear her discuss the gospel. Tonight for FHE it is her turn for the lesson and I am extremely excited!

Well better get back to work...house work. Peace.

Boom Boom Pow and Argentina (Andy)

I am finally going to take a moment or two to comment about the most eventful week and a half of my life!

A couple weekends ago I got MARRIED! Yes it was the best day of my life and I couldn't have pictured it being any better or going more smoothly! All day long the weather was supposed to be horrible, but it ended up being perfect. The sun was hidden behind a cloud cover, it wasn't windy, rainy or cold. Everything went well with the ceremony. The wedding party looked great walking down the aisle and the funniest part was when our ring barer, Greg, stopped and posed for every camera that lined the walkway...hilarious. The best part, however, was when I saw my beautiful bride for the first time in her dress walking down the aisle escorted by her father's. She was breathtaking! My Dad married us and to me that was very special to be able to have my father be in that position and to hold the priesthood and keys to marry us!
The luncheon was amazing...Costa Vida catered...my brothers sang...my uncle made a video that we watched and we had a few people say some things. The reception was also beautiful. We had a lot of people show up, received a lot of gifts and had fun with the cake, bouquet and garter tosses, and even danced a little. There was one set back..but I need not mention it, those who know what I mean will understand that Meg and I felt pretty disrespected. Anyway...after the wedding we headed to SLC and then on Sunday to Vegas and then finally to Havasu where we spent our honeymoon. I had a blast and was able to ride a wave runner for the first time in my life. A funny thing happened about 200 yards off the shore...I was told to watch out for ropes. "Do not run over ropes!" He said (The man who rented us the jet ski) Well as we were driving out to the middle of the lake in the middle of no where a frayed piece of rope grabbed a hold of the propeller and shut us down. So i swam back to the shore, pulling the ski, megan AND and anchor made out of 3 cinder blocks!!!!!!!! Meg thought it was hilarious! Anyway we got that worked out and had an amazing time.

We are now in Nebraska. Elkhorn, Nebraska to be exact. We have finally gotten everything un packed and most of it organized in our house. Which I must admit is very very cool! I had the chance to mow my OWN lawn and it was awesome! The one thing that i wasn't expecting to be so extreme has been the humidity! Wow I sweated more mowing just the lawn here than I ever did mowing a full days worth of lawns in Utah and I guess the humidity wasn't even bad yesterday! Something to look forward to I guess.

My brother got his mission call today and he is going to the Argentina Buenos Ares North Mission and leaves October 14! I am really excited for him and proud!

Anyway I am waisted tired and the reason that this is titled what it is, is because I downloaded boom boom pow just barely...yes I did!

finally getting a few minutes-andy

Well we are finally here and finally getting a few minutes to relax. I am writing this from my new phone so I won't write much. I am loving being married and most of that has to do with my perfect wife! Our new home is awesome and I think we are very lucky to have it. Well I am going to cuddle with my wife. Peace.

Our New Home

The last couple of days have been so long. Friday Andrew and I packed all day. I thought we would get it done in 3 hours tops... WRONG. It really took us all stinkin day. Then the next day we headed East to Nebraska. JR and Aaron helped us move out and we're so grateful for that. It was nice to have them along and it also saved us alot of money. It was especially nice to have Aaron along because we took turns driving my car so I got a couple of breaks. We finally made it to out house here in Elkhorn Nebraska around 1 Am Nebraska time. Today The 4 of us went to our new ward and spent a couple hours showing JR and Aaron around Arlington. Andrew and I are really excited about going to our new ward and Andrew already made a friend. This little guy named Juan. He came up to Andrew after sacrement and talked his ear off and then when Andrew told him we would see him next sunday he said We should try harder next time. We think he was saying we should try harder to be on time because we were running a little late today. It was funny. After doing a little running around JR and Aaron decided to start making their way back to Utah. This was the hardest part of the move for me. It was hard to say goodbye to our moms because I knew I would miss them so much but this feeling was much different. I was actually scared for JR to leave. I think it was because I knew once he left there was no turning back, and it was comforting having him and Aaron there because it was the one thing that wasn't new. I'm excited but nervous about all the new experiences we're going to have while in Nebraska. Andrew and I will have to learn to depend on eachother more instead of our parents, but I know that's what we need and I think living here will help us with that. After the boys left Andrew and I finally had a chance to spend some quality time together. We have been so busy the last few days that we really haven't had time to do that. In fact I don't think we've hung out with just the two of us since out honeymoon, which was a blast. Anyway, after hanging out for a little bit we got to work with the unpacking. We have 2 of the guest bedrooms pretty much finished and that's it. The living room and Kitchen are still packed with boxes so we have alot of work to do the next few days.
This is us on our honeymoon. We rented a waverunner and it was a blast. We only had one little accident which is really good for the two of us

Our first meal at our new home. Andrew grilled for us!
