Wedding

This Saturday we had the opportunity to attend Heather and Tyler's wedding.  It was absolutely beautiful and Heather was gorgeous.  It was actually a little weird for me to see her get married.  I didn't think I would get emotional, but to my surprise I did.  I think it finally hit me that we are growing up (because it obviously didn't hit me when I got married ;)).  Haley came home from school for the wedding and it was good to see her as well.  Well that's all I have for today.  I will post some pics from the wedding.

Enough Said

This is one of the many songs that Andrew and I like to belt out when we are in the car.... or at home..... or anywhere that we are with eachother.  We found it on a trek  CD that Andrew has and it has become one of our favorites.

Maybe we were flowers, soaking up every ray of sun to grow one inch closer to one another. Or maybe we were songbirds, flying high upon the wind and every night in the trees I'd sing you to sleep.  Whatever the truth is, one things for sure.

Chorus- I've got a timeless place for you in my heart, how I could love you this much,  I don't know.  There's this ageless feeling that telle me more and more, I must have loved you before.

Maybe I was the ocean, and you were the sandy beach and ever minute I was falling at your feet.  Maybe you were the moon and I was just the dark, living in your sweet light, thanking God I was where you are.  They say love is ETERNAL, well I guess they must be right.

 Chorus-

Whenever you kiss me, well it feels like coming home and I've got a timless place for you in my heart.  How I could love you this much, I don't know but there's an ageless feeling that tells me more and more, I must have loved you before.

Weekend Getaway

Megan's basketball season finished this past Thursday and I thought it would be awesome to take her on a nice little weekend getaway to Jackson Hole, WY.  After telling her about the plans, we decided we werent going to have enough time to actually get that far away because of trying to get work off at Vista.  Instead of going to Jackson Hole we decided to go to Park City or the area around there.  So we decided to go and stay at the Zermatt Resort in Midway, UT and it was awesome.  For Midway being such a small town, they sure have an incredible getaway spot in the Zermatt Resort.  They have everything you need there to enjoy some time away from home.  When we got there the first thing we did was tour the place, they have a few resteraunts, indoor and outdoor pool, the number one spa in utah and easy access to ski resorts. On Friday nights they have a seafood buffet in their fancy resteraunt, though it was a little pricey it was a great deal with how amazing the food tasted.  We ate shrimp, crab, salmon, SUSHI, fish tacos, steak (great steak), oysters, clams, etc.  it was an awesome meal.  After we had eaten we spent some time in the sauna and wellness center, we then went to the pools and spent a little bit of time there it felt so nice to be outside in hot water under the beautiful clear night utah sky.  It was very romantic.  We then spent a lot of the time in our room, by the fireplace...the next morning we woke up late and went to breakfast at my favorite breakfast chain Village Inn, Heuvos Rancheros is the best meal on their menu.  We then went to get our couples massage, what an amazing way to spend an hour.  Aparently my job, sitting at a desk and on a computer isnt just bad for my weight but it is also bad for my neck and upper back.  Overall it was exactly what we needed and i think that meg had a good time, especially when we shopped...girls.

Buffalo Tuffalo

I can't beleive basketball is officially over.  It still feels surreal, but I think it will really hit me tomorrow when I don't have practice to go to.  This post is really to express my gratitude for the opportunity I had to coach and especially the opportunity I had to get to know the girls.   The girls I was able to coach are truely a great group.  Throughout the season we created some great relationships, had alot of fun and the girls even learned some things about basketball and to me that means that this season was a success.

UTAH VS. BYU GIRLS BASKETBALL

This last Saturday, Rika (Coach Larsen) and I took our team to the Utah/BYU Girls Basketball game.  Before the game, there was a wedding expo going on at the Huntsman Center, so before the game we walked around and checked out all the wedding things.  As we were walking around we came upon a photo booth company, which happened to be the same company who did our wedding!!  They were great! They fit us all in to this tiny booth and took our pictures.  After that as we were walking around, a  guy from a cake company came up to us and asked if any of us wanted to participate in a cake eating contest during the game.  Annie and Darby jumped on that. So during the 4th quarter of the game they went down on the court and stuffed their faces. (Annie won!)  After the game we went to spoon me and then made our way home.  It was a fun day and a good way to begin our season’s end.  The season officially ends tonight with our game against Stansbury.

Amour-láska-Amore-liefde-die Liebe-LOVE

Andrew and I celebrated our 3rd Valentine’s Day together this week. Andrew’s always been great at showing me he loves me so I had high expectations and like usual he exceeded my expectations. On Valentine’s morning I woke up and Andrew had already left for work, but he had left a gift and note on my night stand. I then went to class and as soon as I got home someone knocked on the door and when I opened it I was surprised with flowers (Tulips) which he did a great job picking out. I think most people get roses for Valentine’s Day but I’m not really a fan of roses. I think they stink and I’d rather have bright flowers so they were perfect. After school I headed off to basketball practice and knew that when I got home Andrew was going to have our dinner ready. I knew this because a few days before Andrew reminded me that every Valentine’s Day that we’ve spent together, he has made me dinner and he wants to make it a tradition. I couldn’t argue with that! I ended practice a little early so I could get home to Andrew (I got a lot of crap for that from the basketball girls). When I got home, Andrew had a candlelit dinner prepared. He had made steak, ratatouille and for dessert we had chocolate covered strawberries. After dinner we just spent time together and watched one of our new favorite shows, Pretty Little Liars. Lately, we have become big fans of this show. At first I didn’t think Andrew liked it and he just watched it with me to make me happy, but then I watched it without him one time and he got all bummed out so now I know he really does like it. This year’s Valentine’s Day was a complete success!! I’m so lucky to have a husband who is such a romantic. ;)
